LEADERSHIP

Malam Camara, M.Eng, PMP, CCM

Chief Executive Officer & Senior Project Manager | CORPI LLC

Malam Camara is the Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Senior Project Manager of CORPI LLC, a multidisciplinary construction management firm established in November 2020. With over 26 years of hands-on experience spanning design, construction, inspection, and supervision, Malam launched CORPI to deliver integrated, high-performance solutions across the built environment. His leadership reflects a commitment to excellence in project delivery, technical precision, and client satisfaction.

In addition to leading CORPI, Malam serves as an Adjunct Instructor at Indiana State University (May 2025–Present), where he bridges academic theory with industry practice. His teaching approach emphasizes:

Infusing real-world insights to make course content engaging and relevant
Evaluating student performance through tests, quizzes, and assignments
Designing inclusive lesson plans tailored to diverse learning styles

Malam also serves as a Project Manager on multimillion-dollar capital programs, where he plays a pivotal role in project execution and oversight. His core responsibilities include:

Managing multiple concurrent projects and maintaining master schedules using Primavera P6
Controlling milestones, budgets, and communications to ensure timely delivery
Reviewing documentation from design through construction phases
Preparing Statements of Work (SOWs), Risk Management Plans (RMPs), and Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
Reviewing and approving Requests for Information (RFIs) and Pay Applications

Prior to founding CORPI, Malam held roles as a Senior Civil Engineering Technician and Civil Engineer in Columbus, Ohio, where he honed his technical expertise and field leadership.

He holds a Master of Engineering in Construction Management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (2022), a bachelor’s in construction management from Indiana State University (2020), and an Associate of Applied Science in Architecture from Columbus State Community College (2017).

Under Malam’s leadership, CORPI LLC is equipped to self-perform a full spectrum of services, including:
